IAR/ISA Accommodation Updates

Earlier this academic year ISBE and Pearson announced changes to the IAR/ISA Accommodation report that included a new report format as well as a consolidated list of accommodations. The final version of the report guidelines were released last week, and over the weekend we released support for the updates.
Before we dive into the changes, if you entered assessments for 2025-26 prior to the release, those were migrated to the new format automatically. Additionally, districts can still use the existing Copy IAR/ISA Student Assessments workflow to copy from previous years into 2025-26. The system will automatically migrate data to the new format when copying into 2025-26.

The new IAR/ISA Assessments are available on Students - Single View (beta) in a table on the Demographics tab.
Click the edit pencil to make changes or add additional assessments.
Multiple assessments can be added by clicking the + button to the right of the assessment.
In addition to the updated fields, we’ve also included several validation warnings to help admins enter data accurately. Selecting an invalid combination of fields will prompt a yellow warning.
Many of the validation warnings are due to an incorrect combination of enrollment and assessment fields. For example, students assigned the Online - Spanish (w/TTS) testing format must also be identified as English Learners.
To support correcting these warnings, we’ve included the appropriate enrollment fields at the top of the page. This allows admins to correct data issues from a single place, instead of navigating across the site.
IAR/ISA fields are also available on student Mass Edit.

The updated IAR/ISA Accommodations report is now available as well:
District Main > Import/Export > ISBE Files
School Main > Import/Export > Export ISBE Files
While updating the report, we took the opportunity to upgrade the preview to our new reporting framework. When previewing the report, errors are listed in the leftmost column, and on hover an edit pencil appears, allowing you to make changes.
The edit page slides out over the report and lists only the relevant fields, making it easy to quickly correct errors.
Each column of the report is also filterable, allowing admins to locate specific data or errors.
