Coming Soon: Substitute Management in SchoolInsight

We continue to expand SchoolInsight with tools to help districts manage more of their day-to-day operations in one connected system. The next major area we’re working on is Substitute Management.
For many districts, managing substitutes is a fragmented process. Employee absences may be tracked in one system, substitute openings in another, and payroll information somewhere else. The duplicate data entry creates additional administrative work, and opportunities for information to fall out of sync.
Our new Substitute Management functionality is designed to bring those workflows together within SchoolInsight. Districts will be able to:
Manage their substitute pool
Track substitute qualifications, availability, and preferences
Create and publish substitute openings
Communicate available assignments to substitutes
Review and approve substitute requests
Track coverage for employee absences
For SchoolInsight Financials customers, the system will integrate seamlessly with Employee Time Off and Payroll, eliminating duplicate data entry and the administrative burden of managing separate systems.
Substitutes will have their own SchoolInsight experience where they can manage their information and availability, review openings, request or accept assignments, and download paystubs and tax documents. The system will also support substitutes for a variety of positions that require temporary coverage—not just instructors.
